Anyway, tonight was game night and they bought and tried playing Jackbox Party Pack 4 for the first time, though they didn't record it. They're real cute, but eventually Stephen puts an end to it. Great to see more games like this come to Linux! Previous Vlog (Day 2915) Next Vlog (Day 2917) The day starts with Stephen filming Kepler and Sagan playing with the drawstring dangling from Mallory's hoodie. They're still working on it, so do let them know what you think on their Steam forum. The main issue I've seen, is that the ESC button doesn't seem to work correctly, but that's quite minor. I did initially have a few troubles with games randomly starting in windowed mode, but that seems to now not be an issue.
It's pretty clever and it does seem to work rather well from my testing. So now we have these titles officially supported on Linux as of yesterday: The Jackbox Party Pack. When you start a game, you're given a code which people can enter in at to then instantly join in. The Jackbox Party Pack 5 actually released with Linux support back in October last year, which was awesome to see and shows how serious they are. The Jackbox Party Pack 4 is a mix of multiplayer games which can be played in local multiplayer or online. You can use a phone, tablet or a web browser as a controller, meaning it's pretty easy to get people involved. They told me that they're hoping to give it official support, once more testing has been done.
